Founded by John D. Temte, WYO VC’s team has experience investing in entrepreneurs and supporting entrepreneurs to help them grow. We know how hard and often thankless this call to arms can be. We have been entrepreneurs and operators ourselves. We also know money cannot just be money anymore. As investors, we have a social obligation to our communities to be more and do more. We also owe it to our future generations to be better.
The original formation of JHTP as a 501c3 non-profit reflects the WYO VC team’s commitment to entrepreneurship, not just as a one time call to action, but as an ongoing obligation and a commitment to create a sustainable legacy through investment and job creation, through leveraging our network of thought leaders to help our network and community, and by lifting up and supporting the future leaders of our society. Through JHTP, we have over a decade long track record connecting entrepreneurs, investors, thought leaders, executives, academics, engineers, industry experts, policy makers, and others in the technology ecosystem. This is rivaled only by the biggest incumbents in venture capital.
Our network is our strength both regionally and globally and is rife with key opinion leaders and some of the brightest minds in the world. Our experienced team took the time to build this network before forming WYO VC to ensure that we were best-in-class before we even started.
HISTORY
In 2014, John Temte and Jack Selby accepted Wyoming Governor Matt Mead’s call to action to chair and co-chair, respectively, both JHTP and the Annual WGTS event held in Jackson Hole, Wyoming each fall. The Annual Technology Summits feature successful founders, capital allocators, policy makers and advisors from around the world and the JHTP Network has grown with each successful Summit.
